Also known as the 'coathanger' this magnificent structure took eight years to build, linking Sydneys Central Business District with North Sydney, it carries eight lanes of road traffic and two railway tracks. Recognized as one of Sydney's landmark structures, providing unrivaled panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney's Opera House. The Southern end of the bridge is situated in the historical Rocks area of Sydney.
The Bridge has become a major adventure attraction and on New Year's Eve, fireworks displays are held in two shows, the 9pm Family Fireworks and the Midnight Fireworks. This most spectacular fireworks show has become the most-watched New Years Eve fireworks display in the world.
